A native Oregonian who hails from the Rogue Valley, Gary has a lengthy background in the hospitality and resort industry. His experience includes managing destinati
on resorts in Maui and Aspen prior to a three-year association with Alderbrook Resort & Spa on Hood Canal near Seattle. This background brought him into resort-oriented real estate sales with Brooks Resources Realty at RiverWild in Bend. Gary joined The Garner Group in July 2008. He has been a licensed real estate broker since 2004. Gary has been a board member of Visit Bend (formerly Bend Visitors & Convention Bureau) since 2004 and served as board chairman for two years.
Gary’s initial exposure to Central Oregon came early in life as a result of family ski vacations to Mt. Bachelor. A master swimmer and water ski enthusiast, he lives in NorthWest Crossing with son Jack, 18. His daughter Lucy, 21, lives in the Seattle area. Gary is enthusiastic about the NorthWest Crossing concept as an integrated neighborhood that positions homes near shops, schools and employment centers. He is an avid recreational swimmer who compete regularly in competition sanctioned by United States Masters Swimming.
