BEND, Ore.--The Garner Group Realtors & Development LLC has been engaged as the exclusive agent for real estate sales in Bend’s award-winning NorthWest Crossing neighborhood that are controlled by the community’s developer, West Bend Property Co. LLC.
The Garner Group will open a branch office June 16 at 2762 NW Crossing Drive in the Neighborhood Center at NorthWest Crossing. The office previously housed NorthWest Crossing Realty, a subsidiary of West Bend Property Co.
This represents a major shift in the marketing strategy for NorthWest Crossing real estate. “Sole representation of property within the neighborhood by NorthWest Crossing Realty was a model that was instrumental in creating one of the most desirable communities in Central Oregon over the past six years,” said David E. Ford, West Bend Property Co.’s general manager. “The Garner Group is now poised to grow NorthWest Crossing effectively as it enters future stages of development.”

The Garner Group has a proven track record of serving clients within the competitive Central Oregon real estate market, Ford noted. The company will draw on its full staff of 17 employees and associates to provide quality service for buyers and sellers within NorthWest Crossing. The Garner Group’s main office is at 388 SW Bluff Drive in the Old Mill District.
“We are looking forward to working with builders individually to market properties in NorthWest Crossing,” said Sandy Garner, president of The Garner Group. “The entire staff is very excited about this opportunity and proud to be associated with NorthWest Crossing,” she continued. “NorthWest Crossing represents the future of community planning. The head start achieved by its owners in establishing the concept of NorthWest Crossing places the community directly at the center of today’s environmental, transportation and quality of life issues. This is the type of neighborhood that will continue to attract new residents to Bend.”
Garner is a native of Central Oregon with 29 years of real estate sales experience in the region. Wendy Adkisson, The Garner Group’s principal broker, has spent the past 23 years in the Bend real estate field.
NorthWest Crossing has earned national recognition as an example of the “traditional neighborhood” concept that places homes close to restaurant, shops, parks, schools and trails in a pedestrian-friendly environment. Sustainable development and environmental responsibility are emphasized. Its character was established through master planning by West Bend Development Co., a partnership of Tennant Family Limited Partnership and Brooks Resources Corp.
