A native of Gresham, Ore., Melody worked in the dental field for 12 years before becoming a stay-at-home Mom, raising two sons.
With sons Alexander and Andrew both in their upper teens, Melody obtained her Oregon real estate license in 2007 while still in the Portland area. She and her family moved to Central Oregon shortly thereafter and Melody reinstated her license with The Garner Group in June 2009.Melody and husband Andrew celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in June 2009. With Andrew born and raised in Burns, Ore., most of their family recreational activities were centered east of the Cascades and it was a natural transition for them to move here, initially to Sisters and later to Redmond. They enjoy hunting, fishing and boating in the High Desert country.
Melody has earned the National Assn. of Realtors GREEN designation. This certification by NAR's Green Resource Council came upon completion of a three-day classroom course focusing on fundamentals of green building practices, consumer awareness and marketing of homes built to green standards.
