Broker, GRI, CRS, GREEN
A native of Arizona, Carol Donohoe moved to Bend in 1999 and became a licensed real estate Broker in 2002. She moved her license to The Garner Group in November 2009.During her real estate career, Carol has attained certification by the National Assn. of Realtors as a Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). Both involve advanced study and the latter has been earned by only three percent of real estate agents nationally.
Carol graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in secondary education and became a member of the Arizona Army National Guard, where she served for four years. In the Guard, she developed an interest in flying that led her to transfer into the Arizona Air National Guard, where she served from 1975 to 1990 and attained the rank of Major. Her experience includes service as a pilot flying KC-135 Stratotanker jets used for aerial refueling.
Carol's husband, Tom, is also a former military pilot and currently is a Captain with American Airlines. They have three daughters: Claire, Amanda and Natalie, and maintain an eclectic garden at the Bend home they share with an Australian Shepherd, Golden Retriever and four cats.
Carol has earned the National Assn. of Realtors GREEN designation. This certification by NAR's Green Resource Council came upon completion of a three-day classroom course focusing on fundamentals of green building practices, consumer awareness and marketing of homes built to green standards.
