Experienced in real estate sales and property management, Gail has been licensed in California and Oregon. She moved to The Garner Group in July 2011.
Gail has earned a Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) designation from the National Assn. of Realtors. This professional development program involves extensive course work and examinations in specialized real estate topics such as real estate finance, law, ethics, taxation and communication skills.
Managing large apartment communities in the San Francisco Bay and Portland areas, Gail specialized in rehabilitating properties that were distressed both financially and physically. She also has experience in renovating residential investment properties. “As a homeowner and investor, I’ve reworked poor floor plans, replaced electrical and plumbing, added decks, replaced roofs and siding and installed new windows and doors in addition to supervising contractors,” she relates.
A native of Idaho, Gail has traveled extensively and holds an A.A. degree in Biblical Studies from Trinity Bible College, Ellendale, N.D. She moved to Portland from California in 1991. After her husband, Dr. Larry Day, retired as a professional counselor, author and speaker in 2006 they toured the United States as full-time RVers for four years. They ended their travels to settle in at Crooked River Ranch, where Larry had purchased a lot in the 1980s as a retirement destination.
Gail and Larry conduct life skills and self esteem workshops in institutional settings and in seminars open to the public. They have two sons and two daughters, all grown, and are fond of hiking, reading and traveling.
