Sean is a second-generation Realtor® who obtained his state of Oregon broker’s license in 2010. He has been engaged in real estate since 2010 and joined The Garner Group in August 2011.
Sean was a frequent visitor to Bend and Sunriver after his parents and his sister and her family moved from California in the mid 1980s. This followed his father’s retirement after 30 years in real estate. A career opportunity for Sean’s wife JaAnn brought them to Bend permanently in 2008. Sean managed Bend Bike ‘N Sport, which has since closed, for two years before securing his Oregon real estate license..
Born in Ontario, Calif., Sean grew up in San Luis Obispo, near the Central California coast. He attended San Diego State university, majoring in physical therapy while he worked as a life guard for the city. He trained and worked as an emergency medical technician in San Luis Obispo, later qualifiying as a paramedic. He served for 15 years as a fire fighter/paramedic with the South Bay Fire Department in San Luis Obispo County.
Sean and JaAnn have a son, Lance, and a daughter, Kylie. An avid bicycle enthusiast, Sean competes in road, mountain bike and cyclocross races in addition to recreational riding. He is a cycling coach with the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation and coaches with the Central Oregon Rush Soccer League.
