In my blog post today I have the pleasure of interviewing Mandy Weidman, Senior Vice President, Operations & Sales Manager at COBA. Hi Mandy, thanks for visiting with me today! So, I understand you have 36 homes on the tour this year? Yes! 1 virtual home is included in that.
And how does that compare to years past? The last two years we have been down due to Covid challenges, so this year we are back up to pre-pandemic numbers, which is exciting! PLus, we have houses that are not sold–in the last couple of years the majority of homes on the tour were pre-sold, which is obviously indicative of the current market. This year, we have a great blend of sold/available homes. We have a home in Madras for the second year, so it's wonderful to see the tour expanding to induce housing options for people all over the state and to see emerging communities.
How many people attend the tour of homes? On average we see between 8,000-10,000 people over the duration of both weekends depending on the locations and homes.
When was COBA established? 1972
What’s the farthest distance you’ve heard of someone traveling in order to attend the tour? We see visitors from all over the Pacific Northwest. I get calls each year from residents from California that plan their visit to be here during the tour. Others come from Washington, Portland, San Francisco and other areas in California. We see visits to our website on the tour from all 50 states!
Any other facts that you think readers would enjoy? This is our 36th Tour of Homes!
The 3,398 square foot home I’ve just listed sits on the 7th fairway of Brasada Ranch’s golf course.
